vISION eXAMS & eYE gLASSES

DEDICATED TO IMPROVING LIVES

One of our most important initiatives is providing access to vision care.

We understand that good vision is essential for success in school, work, and daily life, which is why we partner with Dr. Shelly Rice of Rice Family Eyecare to provide free vision exams and eyeglasses to those who need them.

Thanks to our partnership with Dr. Rice and her team, we’re able to make a real difference in the lives of many people in our community who otherwise might not have access to this vital care.

WE PROVIDE VISION CARE FOR 50 TO 100 COMMUNITY MEMBERS EVERY YEAR

STUDENT VOLUNTEERISM SCHOLARSHIP

ENCOURAGING VOLUNTEERISM

The Wagoner Lions Club is excited to announce the continuation of our SERVE Scholarship Program (Service, Engagement, Responsibility, Volunteer Excellence).

This scholarship is available to:

• Graduating seniors
• Young adults currently attending college or a trade school

The SERVE Scholarship is awarded to students who are involved in community service, show leadership, and are committed to giving back.

Through volunteer service with the Lions Club, students can build leadership skills, form meaningful connections, and see the lasting impact of serving their community.

High school juniors are encouraged to get involved now and review our volunteer opportunities for the coming year. While preference is given to students who volunteer with the Wagoner Lions Club, prior Lions Club service is not required and does not disqualify applicants.

If you know a student who would be a great fit, or if you are one, we encourage you to apply.

PROUD SPONSOR OF OUR LOCAL AG PROGRAMS

SUPPORTING OUR fUTURE FARMERS

We are proud to support the future of agriculture in our community through our sponsorship of 4-H and FFA programs.

We understand that agriculture plays a vital role in our community’s economy and that it is an essential part of our heritage. By supporting 4-H and FFA programs, we are investing in the next generation of farmers, ranchers, and agribusiness leaders.

These programs provide young people with the knowledge, skills and experiences needed to succeed in the industry and to become leaders in their communities. We are honored to be a part of this important work and we are grateful for the support of our community in making this possible.

WE HAVE CONTRIBUTED OVER $2,500 DOLLARS TOWARDS OUR LOCAL AG PROGRAMS

DONATIONS

WE FUNDRAISE FOR OUR COMMUNITY

The Wagoner Lions Club is dedicated to supporting the needs of our community through fundraising and charitable donations. We understand that many organizations in our community rely on the generosity of others to fulfill their missions and to make a positive impact in the lives of those they serve.

That’s why we are committed to being a part of that solution.

Our fundraising efforts allow us to make meaningful donations to organizations and causes that are important to us and to our community.

We are proud of the impact we’ve been able to make and grateful for the support of our community in making this work possible.

WAGONER FIRE DEPARTMENT DONATION:

In 2022, we were able to donate $20,000 to the Wagoner Fire Department for repairs of their Grass Fire Rig, and purchase of a New Skid Unit. There was no money in the budget to repair, and purchase this necessary piece of equipment so the Wagoner Lions Club was honored to be able to meet this community need

SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY

We are constantly seeking new ways to give back and to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us.

Whether it’s through providing access to vital services such as vision care, supporting small businesses, encouraging civic engagement and volunteerism, or investing in the future of agriculture, we are always working to make our community a better place.
